I've spent the last decade tutoring math one-on-one — starting with K-12 students who needed help catching up, and steadily working my way through Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Statistics with hundreds of students across the US and India.
What I've learned in that time: math anxiety is almost always a symptom of gaps two grades below where the student is currently stuck. So my first job with any new student is diagnosis — figure out what they actually don't know, before we touch the topic their teacher told them to fix.
On the side, I've been a software engineer for eight years — React, Node, .NET, Azure. That's why Faidence Tutors exists: I couldn't find a tool that handled scheduling, billing, session notes, and Google Classroom in one place, so I built one. My students learn on it. My tutor friends now use it too.

Imam Faizal Syed has been teaching my 7 year old for about 3 months now and I am so impressed. She started with barely being comfortable with adding to now multiplying 4 digit numbers with ease and also dividing 5/6 digit numbers!
